Karen Born,PhD – Karen is an assistant professor and program director of the M.HSc. in Health Administration at the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. Karen served as Knowledge Translation Lead for the Choosing Wisely Canada campaign from 2015–2022 and in that capacity was responsible for dissemination of campaign content to patients and the public. Karen teaches on knowledge translation, health policy, patient safety, quality improvement and resource stewardship

Nicole Simms, PhD, Training and Education Lead & Executive Lead, CASCADES – As Training and Education Lead, Nicole Simms guides the design, implementation, and evaluation of CASCADES’ continuing professional development portfolio. Nicole played a foundational role in the emergence of the University of Toronto’s Centre for Sustainable Health Systems at the University of Toronto (the precursor to the Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care) , where she served as Managing Director prior to joining the CASCADES team as an executive and staff member. She holds a PhD from the Department of Geography, Environment & Society at the University of Minnesota, and an MA in Geography/Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.
