Certina Ho is a graduate of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. She obtained her graduate degrees in Library and Information Science and in Education from the University of Toronto. Certina is also currently appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Family Medicine, Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University, providing teaching support to the InQuiry curriculum and quality improvement projects of family medicine residents at the Kitchener-Waterloo Teaching Site. At the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, Certina is the course coordinator of a Year 3 elective course for Doctor of Pharmacy students on Patient/Medication Safety. She is also one of the Faculty Advisors for the Industrial Pharmacy Residency Program. She joined the Department of Psychiatry as the Director, Educational Program Evaluation and Scholarship, in January 2020. Certina has been an adjunct faculty member at the School of Pharmacy, University of Waterloo since 2008. Certina has been actively engaged in academic research and continuous professional development in teaching and learning, experiential education, medication safety, and pharmacy practice. Her research and scholarly interests are related to educational program evaluation, development of patient/medication safety and quality improvement initiatives, respectively. At the Institute for Safe Medication Practices Canada (ISMP Canada), Certina was the inaugural Director, Community Pharmacy Reporting and Learning, with a primary responsibility on medication safety initiatives related to community pharmacy practice, medication incident reporting and analysis. Currently, Certina remains affiliated with ISMP Canada as a Medication Safety Advisor.
