Brian M. Wong
How to leverage QI to implement macrosystem change
Date and time
Tuesday September 24 2024 (12-1 p.m. ET)
Session Description:
It is often said that structures give rise to the outcomes we observe (or every system is perfectly designed to get the results that it gets). Thus, a focus on process improvement without attention to addressing underlying structures may fall short when trying to lead changes at the macrosystem level. In this speaker series presentation, Brian Wong will explore a case example of a major effort to restructure and realign services made available to long-term care homes in OH-Toronto region as a way to illustrate the importance of attending to structures, relationships and context when leading change at the macrosystem level.
