About the talk
Senior care is a high priority in the healthcare system. There are many opportunities for improvement, some of which demand innovation and some which need a return to well established best practices. We will look at the evolution of senior-friendly care and how we might improve outcomes for older adults.
Speaker bio
Dr. Barbara Liu M.D., FRCP(C), FRCP (Edin), is a Professor of Medicine and Division Director for Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is the Executive Director of the Regional Geriatric Program of Toronto (RGP) and leads a network of hospitals in the delivery of specialized geriatric services. In Ontario, she has been a leading force behind the implementation of the senior friendly care framework. In addition to her leadership roles, she has a clinical practice at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
