DESCRIPTION:You’ve done this great QI project – now what? If you’re like many QI folks\, you might not love self-promoting your work. In this masterclass\, Alexandra Rendely\, a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor\, freelance health reporter and host of the MSK Matters podcast\, will show you why dissemination is a critical step that should be part of every QI project. From how to speak with journalists\, to branding\, to communicating effectively with leadership and stakeholders\, Rendely will provide the tools you need to help your QI project get the airtime it deserves. \nObjectives : \n\nRecount how the subtypes of social media are being used in the academic setting \nReflect on the importance of using social media as a digital skill set for teaching and learning  \nState reasons for using social media as a tool to communicate QI/patient safety/academic work \n\nDate and time: \n\nTuesday\, April 4\, 12-4 p.m. ET\n\nCost: \n\n$400 – non-members\n$300 – CQUIPS+ members (25% discount!)\n\n\nSpeaker: \nDr. Alexandra Rendely is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at the University Health Network’s Toronto Rehab and a clinician in quality and innovation at the University of Toronto. During her residency training at the University of Toronto she completed a year long fellowship in health journalism through the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Prior to attending McMaster Medical School she worked for various television and radio stations as a sports journalist. She advocates for rehabilitation and related topics as a freelance health journalist and is the host of MSK Matters\, a medical education podcast
